Gina Mundy is an attorney that specializes in childbirth cases. Throughout her career Gina has traveled nationwide, engaging with healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, and midwives to explore all aspects of labor and delivery. These interactions have provided her with invaluable insights, enabling her to appreciate the diverse perspectives prevalent in different regions of the country. Meeting with experts from various states, she has explored and analyzed the myriad of issues that can arise during labor and delivery, impacting both mother and baby.
Gina has conducted extensive research, meticulously analyzing, and dissecting countless studies pertaining to childbirth. This rigorous process was essential in equipping her with the necessary knowledge to undertake lengthy cross-examinations of a diverse array of experts. Through these examinations, she skillfully discerns their opinions on the errors that have occurred during labor and delivery. This has sharpened her knowledge allowing her to become highly proficient in the nuances of childbirth.
In her capacity as legal counsel, Gina has closely worked with delivery teams whose care has been questioned following adverse outcomes. She has spent thousands of hours meticulously scrutinizing cases, conducting interviews with delivery teams, and thoroughly examining medical records to gain an in-depth understanding of every decision made during labor and delivery.
Gina lives in Clarkston, Michigan with her family, including her husband James, whom she married in 2002. Together they have been blessed with three wonderful children: Abigail, Elliana, and Liam. However, their family expanded even further in September 2018 when Abigail approached them with a request. She asked if Angie, a foreign exchange student from Thailand who was not getting along with her host family, could come live with them. Gina and James agreed, and Angie became their third daughter that year.
Gina has a passion for travel and discovering local treasures wherever she goes. One of her favorite pastimes is exploring farmers markets, where she can support the local people. Her shopping list includes fresh bread, cheese, vegetables, fruit, meat, coffee, and local wine. Among all the farmers markets she has visited, her favorite is situated in Pentwater, Michigan, a hidden gem of a harbor town. Its charm lies in the absence of big chain stores, fast-food restaurants, and traffic lights.
Camping is an annual highlight for Gina. Each summer, she spends weeks outdoors with her family. The tranquil sunsets, cooking over an open fire, and leisurely lounging in camping hammocks while overlooking Lake Michigan has created the best memories.
For many years, Gina served as the local Girl Scout leader. She is also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution ("DAR") and is part of the Michigan Dunes Chapter. However, her true passion lies in coaching her kids' softball and baseball teams. Having grown up playing softball herself and being inspired by exceptional coaches, Gina enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with aspiring players.
Gina's family has been graced with additional members over the years. Finn and LuLu, their two adorable Sheltie dogs, bring warmth and companionship to their household. Additionally, their daughter's bunny, Honey, and their son's vibrant blue beta fish, aptly named Blueberry, complete the lively ensemble.
Whenever she can spare a moment, Gina enjoys visiting wineries. Beyond the tastings, she enjoys engaging with winery owners, immersing herself in their stories and history. Among her favorite wine destinations are Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada, the wineries throughout Michigan, and in Tuscany, Italy.
